Hearth of the Vanir

Welcumeþ þe, cuman (Welcome to you, strangers)

Picture
Welcome to my abode. Here, the Vanir - the Northern European Powers of Life, Death and Mystery - are honored, celebrated and worthed. There is much to do at this hearth, so let me give you a tour:

If you would like to come and sit by the fireplace, you may hear the tales of the Powers, Their loves and sorrows, and Their life stories. There is also
scopcræft, poetry, celebrating Those we honor, and expressing our devotion to Them.

If you are seeking knowledge of our ways, may I invite you to the living room, where the practices of our lives take place. There you will learn of what we do and believe, and hear our thoughts on things of note.

By all means, make yourself at home in the kitchen. There, you will find much talk of food and drink, herbs and spices, and all manner of savory delights.

The common room is where we mingle with the others in the neighborhood, and you may well serve yourself by listening in to the conversations among the folk - topics on our community and wider religious kith abound.

If you are a booksome type, the library is yonder. The books found here are those which our community has found helpful, including mine own. Browse and learn, for learning is most welcome in this place.

And finally, we come to mine own room, where you shall meet your host, myself, and learn of what manner of man I be.

Welcome, welcome, be most welcome here.
